Any flooring that is made from concrete is a great area to use epoxy flooring - be it garages, basements, countertops, pool decks, backyard patios, or mudrooms - by adding epoxy to your flooring, you can give these rooms new life!
Just like floor paint, we can add paint flakes or chips to epoxy to give it a more decorative look. We can also add logo and 3D designs to the coating to bring new life and feelings to your areas. At Elite Concrete Epoxy we have additives we apply to our epoxy floors that can create anti-skid, bold colors (metallic or solid), or light tints of any colors that interest you.
Usually an epoxy coating is a two-part system, and some epoxy floor companies will only do the bare minimum when it comes to beautifying your concrete flooring. But at Elite Concrete Epoxy we believe in using our three- and even four-part systems, depending on the job involved and we have added Polyaspartic Coatings to all of our epoxy flooring installations.
Polyaspartic coating is a relatively new application that goes on top of the epoxy flooring. This extra coating has a hard and smooth finish and is great for high-traffic areas. It is Ultra Violet light resistant, scratch and stain resistant. It has faster drying times vs other types of epoxy coatings and won’t bubble as much as other epoxies, which makes installation a lot faster and more manageable by our team of trained professionals.
Epoxy floors have a longer lifespan compared to other types of flooring. And because of this it’s essential that you use our flooring professionals to install the epoxy flooring for you.
Homeowners often make the mistake of allowing moisture on the floors and when they apply the epoxy themselves, the moisture causes the epoxy to bubble and lift. When we’re called in for these types of jobs, we need to re-grind the flooring and start all over again - so please think twice before applying epoxy floors yourself, unless you’re a trained professional like our team members.
